Crooked teeth are just one of the many reasons people hide their smiles. If you want a straighter smile, but you don’t want the hassle of braces, Invisalign may be just what you’re looking for. As part of her commitment to your total dental health, Dr. Harris offers Invisalign as an option to achieve a better, more confident smile.
What is Invisalign? It’s like having clear braces. Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign is a clear plastic tray you wear over your teeth. So it’s not easily seen when you talk or smile. And the plastic won’t irritate your mouth like metal can.
Unlike regular braces, it is removable. What an advantage! You can take it out to eat — and you won’t have to avoid any of the foods you love because of braces (like popcorn, apples, or corn on the cob). You can also brush and floss normally, which is better for your overall dental health.
Invisalign works by gradually shifting your teeth into their new position. Dr. Harris will custom-fit a series of plastic aligner trays to your mouth. The series itself is created to move your teeth from their current position to that future state one aligner at a time. You’ll wear the first aligner for about two weeks, and then start using the next in the series — until you’ve achieved your goal with the last tray.
If you’re interested, the first step is to schedule an appointment to review your goals with Dr. Harris. Together you can determine whether Invisalign is the right fit for you. If it is, you’ll be on your way to straighter teeth. So you can go ahead and show off your smile — with confidence.
Each time I come in to see Dr. Harris, I’m amazed at how great the experience is. I’ve had lots of dental work done in my lifetime and I’ve never seen a dentist and staff so dedicated to the comfort and relaxation of the patient. I’m so glad my husband and I found this dental practice!
