X-rays are an important part of your hygiene visit. They’re one more way Dr. Harris evaluates your dental health, so we can fulfill our commitment to provide you with the most comprehensive dental care possible. X-rays help us see damage and disease we may not otherwise be able to detect. We can also spot potential problems so we can proactively work to resolve them.
Some people are concerned about the safety of dental x-rays. It’s true x-rays do emit radiation — but it’s at very low levels. Rest assured, we’re always conscientious about x-rays, and will only x-ray when it is important for your evaluation and treatment. New patients, in particular, require x-rays because they give us a picture of your current dental health, as well as a baseline to evaluate your future dental health. Different types of x-rays allow us to see different things — from bitewings to full-view panoramics. We’ll always choose only those we think you need.

We want to keep your total dental health in view. X-rays allow us do that. Dr. Harris’ goal is always to provide comprehensive dental care to keep your whole mouth healthy, now and in the future.
Everyone was wonderful and instantly made me feel welcome and comfortable. Kelly was great, explaining everything she was doing and why. And Dr. Harris also made me feel confident that I, indeed, made the correct choice when choosing her practice. Linda, the receptionist, also was friendly and warm from the moment I stepped into the office. Everyone in the practice emphasizes the patient’s comfort and they go out of their way to reduce anxiety and relieve patient stress. I’m so glad that my husband and I found Dr. Harris and we both highly recommend her and her staff to anyone who is looking for a dental practice with lots of TLC.
